I'll have to give it a shot for sure. After using HotTunes for a few days though, i still find myself in my old habits of going back into iTunes, hard to start new ones. I personally use butler for my launcher and it had an itunes feature allowing you to bind the pre/next etc to any key you want, it also works from any window and displays a bubble on screen saying what the new song is.
