It's priced extremely fairly and can do everything Adobe's clunky, inefficient software can, but about 10 times more quickly. It's also the fastest rendering software in the world, and is *extremely* efficient with system resources and photo handling--unlike any other software out there. Windows only though. The (few) good elements of Inkscape were inspired by Xara's software. Should use Xara (xara dot com). For someone like me who doesn't yet know Illustrator, Inkscape is a great program. I spent about 4 hours getting used to it yesterday, and it's really quite nice. Being able to easily toggle the point/node type with the control key makes using the Pen tool in Photoshop seem outdated. So far, I'm loving it! I've already made a few vector graphics with it, some of which will be revealed soon. You’re an Illustrator pro, though.
