New Theme in Action

The new Command-Tab theme is in place! Going from Photoshop to HTML/CSS/PHP took only several hours, so there are bound to be some bugs just around the corners. (Yes, I know it looks horribly broken in IE6.) Please do comment here if you find something, and I’ll go about fixing it.

10/9/2006 Update
SpotlightSiteSearch and other graphical additions I created in the past are currently disabled as I plan to upgrade them for better browser compatibility in the near future.

  1. The new theme is extremely nice. It looks very “flashy,” which is, of course, perfect for a Mac site.

(There are still people using IE6?!)

  2. Very nice! Very tidy, too.

  3. Beautiful site redesign :)

  4. Looks really smart - was impressed with your Photoshop mock-up a week or so ago, but this is very clean + neat! No problems with Firefox or Safari ;-)

  5. Looks great Collin.

It kinda reminds me of Phil Ryu’s projects, especially with the grid in the background.

  6. making the middle its own column is an improvement over the old design. the blue-on-blue sidebars could still use some work. Other than that, looks great.

  7. Looks very nice. Functional like the old one but with more information, without being cluttered. Nice work.

Thank God WordPress makes it so easy to create themes, eh? I made one for my site as my first attempt at using XHTML/CSS and aside from some minor formatting tweaks that I’ve been making ever since it couldn’t have gone any smoother. It’s arguaby easier than making a remotely complex standalone HTML page.

  8. Oh, and I forgot to say that anything that involves CSS looks horribly broken on IE6. I sincerely hope that IE7 is a significant improvement in that regard because it’s a terrible pain for any web development.
