Actually, I just duplicated the default WordPress theme, edited the CSS file so it had a unique name and identifier, then began modifying it little by little. At the time, I didn't understand the WordPress template tags, so I learned how to use them along the way. I think, if you're into designing themes, gradually modifying an existing one is the way to go.

I'm not sure I'm ready to distribute it, but if you or anyone needs pointers, feel free to email me and I'll be happy to answer any WordPress questions.

As for plugins, I'm only using Flickr Gallery for my gallery, however it has a bug in it that I'm working on a fix for (and will give the changes back to the author, if my editing is successful).

Hello. I just stumbled across your site and I was wondering, did you completely design that wordpress theme yourself? Do you have any interest in distributing it? Obviously it would need to be customized to be used in another site, but I'm up to that task. I just like the layout. Anyway, let me know what your feelings are. Also, what plugins are you using? -Dan
